Getting started
What NutraB2B 2.0 is, how partners connect, and the five steps to go live.
What the standard covers
NutraB2B 2.0 is an open, event-driven standard for trading nutraceutical ingredients and finished products: botanicals, extracts, vitamins, minerals, probiotics, marine oils, excipients and dosage forms.
It covers the full lifecycle in 42 messages across nine families: master data, sourcing, ordering, logistics & customs, quality & compliance, traceability, finance, planning and control.
Every message travels in the same envelope (modelled on CloudEvents 1.0), carries GS1 identifiers, references shared code lists and is validated by numbered business rules (NB-R###).
How to connect
Real time: POST signed events to the partner's webhook, or to the NutraB2B hub at /api/public/v2/events. Each event gets a synchronous acknowledgement (ACK) within 60 seconds.
Batch: send NDJSON files (one event per line, ≤ 10 MB) over the same endpoint or SFTP. Each line is acknowledged individually.
Legacy: v1.0/1.1 JSON documents are still accepted through an adapter, with a warning to migrate.
Go-live in five steps
1. Register your legal entity and sites with GS1 GLNs (PARTY, FACILITY).
2. Map your item master to PRODUCT, including HS code, grade, form, allergens and release specification, and map your codes to the NutraB2B code lists.
3. Implement the messages for your role (see the role matrix in each message guide) and validate them in the Test lab.
4. Run the conformance suite in the sandbox (env = test) until every required scenario passes, then download your conformance certificate.
5. Exchange production keys and switch env to prod. Keep running the suite after every release of your integration.
